Have been deemed competent on another state’s registry for CNAs.
- Have documentation of current registration from another state indicating requirements listed in the Code of Federal Regulations (42 CFR, Sections 483.151 and 483.152) have been met.
- Must have no administrative findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriations of property on their home state’s CNA registry or any other state’s CNA registry.
- Must have no disqualifying convictions on their home state’s registry.

- The fee for transferring your CNA Registry information from another state to Illinois is $75.00 which must be paid by money order, payable to SIUC, and be included with your application form. If we are unable to verify your information and place you on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry, your money order will be returned to you. Once you have been successfully transferred to the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry, the money order will be cashed and no refunds will be processed.
